So far, the theme for posts has been that 2017 is going to be an awesome year. Having an awesome year is something you will want to be able to remember in the future. Keeping track of these memories is why this weeks blog post is going to be about keeping a travel journal. Having a travel journal will allow you to track and remember your adventures.
What to use?
You can use just about any notebook for your travel journal. Personally I use a smaller Moleskin notebook because I like the size, elastic strap to keep it closed, and the built in bookmark. I do recommend a notebook that isn’t intended for the pages to come out. This is because it typically makes the notebook feel more rugged. I chose to also use a notebook without lined paper, and I chose to do this because it gives me the ability to sketch in it also. This is something that would be up to you on what you wanted to do.
What to put in it?
This again is very much up to you, and should allow your notebook to be unique to you. I use mine for writing about places I have gone, I glue pictures of places I have been, and I sometimes sketch in it while I am out on an adventure. Many times I will write the GPS coordinates of where I am at when I am writing or sketching. Your journal should be unique to you and you could put anything you want in it. Maybe you write poetry or stories and that is how you want to make yours unique. Whatever it is that you like to do that is up to you. Keep it personal and unique.
How do you track your adventures?
Personally I like to track my adventures in a notebook, but maybe you have some other medias that you like to use. Maybe you paint or track your adventures by making videos. What do you use and what is your reasoning for it? What actually made you decide to use that media? Whatever the media you choose to use I hope you use 2017 to make a lot of memories.
