This year I am creating this 2016 Holiday Gift Guide to make your holidays shopping a little bit easier. The holidays are already stressful enough so why not get a little help for the outdoors enthusiast on your list. I have included links to these products to make checking another item off your list even easier. Please feel free to share this post or use this list to make your holiday shopping stress free.
GoPro makes several action cameras that are a must have for keeping track of your outdoor adventures. These wearable cameras will help your loved one to record all of their favorite activities so that they can share or save the memories. Cairn is a very cool subscription service that sends you outdoors gear every month. The original boxes contain 3-6 full size items that equal a $35+ value. A subscription to Cairn is only $25 a month with discounts for paying for longer subscription periods. Essentially buying someone a subscription to this gift could equal out to multiple gifts over the next few months. There are also several other price options for subscriptions that come with different gear, but no matter what option you choose your loved one will be sure to love it. You can check out their site and subscribe or gift someone else here.
This gift is another very cool safety related gift to give to your loved one. Road ID makes several different ID tags that you get your loved ones name and emergency contact info printed on. The have multiple different types such as dog tags, ID bracelets, and tags that go on your Apple Watch or Fitbit band. This gift is another to give you a piece of mind that your loved one will return home safe. You get to choose what to engrave on the tags which also adds some personal thought into this gift. A gift with the potential to save someone’s can never be the wrong choice. You can check out Road ID at www.roadid.com.
5.Garmin Fenix 3
The Garmin Fenix 3 is another great device for anyone spending time in the outdoors. It is a GPS watch that will allow them to track their adventures or to do some basic navigation all from their watch. The Garmin Fenix 3 has many features such as an altimeter and a digital compass that will definitely be useful. It will also connect to a smartphone to display notifications or control music. For the health enthusiasts it also has several fitness and exercise features for those who want to run, bike, or swim and use the watch to track it. This outdoors watch also has many fitness tracker features such as a step counter and sleep monitor. With the many features on this watch it is a gift you can not go wrong with.
Many of the devices that people choose to carry in the outdoors are now rechargeable, but there are rarely recharge stations in the woods. One gift that I am sure will get a ton of use through out the year is a solar charger. Every time they are on another adventure they will be able to place the charger where it will receive sunlight and charge their devices. There are many different solar chargers out now and most of them can be hung on the outside of a backpack to get sunlight. They come in many different price ranges and features which make them great for any budget. No matter what this is a gift that will be sure to be a hit all year.
7.Sony Alpha Camera
A good camera is a necessity for capturing all of the memories that you will create outdoors. These cameras take professional quality pictures, but are very compact and lightweight. For the serious adventurer sticking with a small and lightweight camera will be very important to them. This will give them the ability to take a ton of great pictures to preserve the memories. These cameras have interchangeable lenses but are as small and compact as a point and shoot camera. There are many different cameras on the market but this one is sure to be a win.
